Take Off Your Shoes and Stay a While

I just adore this image. It's one of my favourites on this blog. And there's not one thing that leaps out at me -- it's the entire composition. Perhaps part of the reason is that it combines my foot fetish with my love of everyday depictions of lesbian love. The subject, in pretty but not glitzy underwear, isn't an overly made-up beauty, though she has natural beauty in abundance. Her disheveled hair, suggestive of a makeout session that may have just ended, frames a face that looks down with the slightest smile, one that says she's done this before but still loves doing it, and that now she's ready to heat things up. And more than that, her eyes communicate a subtle tenderness that says she loves caring for her lover -- as she demonstrates by unbuckling her shoe.

I could look at this photo all day and be happy.
